Sonny Lo taught Hong Kong politics in the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Hong Kong from 1996 to 2004. Before he joined HKU, he had also taught Hong Kong politics at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He acquired his BA (Honors) in Political Science at Canada’s York University, MA in Political Science at the University of Waterloo, and PhD in Political Science at the University of Toronto. He formerly worked at the University of East Asia (1989-1990), Lingnan College (1990-1991), Murdoch University (1991-1992), HKUST (1993-1996), University of Hong Kong (1996-2004), University of Waterloo (2004-2010), and the Hong Kong Institute of Education (2010-2016).
