Dr. W. F. LAM has been selected, on the nomination of our Department and the Faculty, as the recipient of the Research Output Prize in the Faculty of Social Sciences in 2006 for his journal article "Coordinating the Government Bureaucracy in HK: An Institutional Analysis" published in Governance: An International Journal of Policy, Administration, and Institutions in October 2005.
This Research Output Prize is a new initiative introduced by the University in early 2006 to recognize and reward research excellence by identifying the best research outputs in different Faculties. The University will award up to ten Prizes each year, and each Faculty will award only ONE prize each year. Dr Lam is the first staff member in our Faculty to get such an honorable award. He will receive a certificate and a monetary prize of $100,000 for research purposes.
